A Message from the President

2011 Season

Welcome to the upcoming 2011 football season. I would first like to take this opportunity to wish all families and friends a fantastic Christmas and more importantly a safe New Year.

The 2011 football season has been pencilled in for a start date in early May 2011 which is somewhat delayed from what we have been use to in the past. Unfortunately due to Easter & School holidays this looks like the only alternative available to the F&DJFL.

Our registration day will be on Friday 18th February from 5pm -8:30pm. There will be a sausage sizzle for all and we look for to seeing as many of you there as possible.

2010 has been a great year for the KBJFC culminating with our Under 15s Gold Division winning the premiership, the Bulls hosting the F&DJFL finals series for the second year and above all else, great participation & sportsmanship shown by all who wore the Red & White.

I would like to take this opportunity to also congratulate all of our newly appointed coaches for 2011. Please make sure that you get behind our coaches and give them your every support.

We would also like to thank our outgoing coaches for their outstanding efforts. Michael Broersen, Dean McCrystal, Daniel Bennell & Stewart Mills have all been exceptional contributors to the KBJFC.

The KBJFC have for a long time supported the philosophy that where possible we try and rotate our coaches after no longer than a three year term with the one team. The main reasoning behind the idea of rotation is so that the age group can hear and learn from a different voice along with a different ethos during their years at the club. This helps with player development, skills & role models. This year we were in a very fortunate position where the club had multiple applicants in different age groups which is a good indication of the strong position the club is in.

You would have received your 2011 registration pack at our AGM / presentation day. If you have miss placed it don’t stress to much as your New Coach will have all you children’s details.
